Prices are naturally affected by the quality of the camera the drone carries on-board and the lateness of the model; however the discerning photographer will have no difficulty finding a great drone to fit his budget.

2. They’re easy to use

Many drone sellers advertise heavily the ease of flying a drone – and they are certainly right to do so. All you have to do is download the app on the smartphone, charge the battery and you’re good to go! It’s advisable to practise flying in a wide, open space such as a park or field before concentrating on photography, though. Also, remember to always be mindful of the drone’s proximity to objects.

3. They can fit in small spaces

Remember the days of lugging around bulky equipment and contorting into strange positions in an attempt to get the right angle? Gone! The drone’s small size means that it can fit into tight spaces, enabling you to shoot from an altogether unique perspective.

4. They’re safe

Ever wondered how photographers took aerial shots in the past? Cameras would be strapped to the underside of helicopters and other aircraft; photographers would risk their lives clambering up to delirious heights; even birds sometimes found themselves the reluctant bearers of a camera! The introduction of drones now means that you can capture stunning shots whilst keeping both feet firmly on the ground.

The main reason you’re getting the drone in the first place – to capture amazing, breath-taking pictures from an angle that has previously seemed impossible.
